*Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my youngest son at a fairly new restaurant for hubby and me. Good food, family atmosphere and wonderful company...who could ask for more at a birthday dinner.
*Was able to open the dining room window Sunday for awhile. My cat was thrilled and sat and enjoyed the fresh air for almost 30 minutes.
*No snow in the forecast so far and what we have looks like it is slowing going away. Dare I hope that
Spring is coming or will I jinx it?
*Picked up some kind of stomach flu Monday. Have so much to do but not the energy to do it.
*Thunderstorm on Tuesday night is melting snow. Good thing but also bad thing as our house is at the bottom of a hill and when the snow melts, the water comes down and pools up in our yard. B says it looks like Lake Superior is beginning next to us. B is keeping an eye on our basement for water. We have had problems in the past with flooding in the basement during the Spring runoff.
*Finally feeling better on Thursday. I was able to have some soup for dinner and keep it down. I hate being sick when there is so much to do.
*B was so happy with his work on the spare bedroom redo, he has now decided to do our bedroom. So the disorganized mess is now in our room. I asked him to get done as soon as possible because I have trouble sleeping in such chaos. He promised by the time we run away from home next week, it will be done. His mouth to God's ear.
*Saw about 8 wild turkeys in our field Thursday along with about 5 deer. There were 3 male turkeys strutting around with their tails feathers all displayed in full bloom. It was a wonderful break in the day to watch them.
*For some reason B can't figure out, the garage door opener has stopped working. He can still open the garage door by hand but the automatic door opener was only installed a year ago and he can't find the problem. He spent a good deal of
the morning working on it. He is not ready to purchase a new one or call in a repairman. Very stubborn man, my hubby.

Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better - you certainly want to be healthy for your vacation. The joys of DIY construction (or any construction for that matter). I'm sure you'll be happy when it is done.
Hope the chaos is cleared up soon, and that you are feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You have your heart safely in God's, Ellen. Even with stomach flu, there's so much you can find to be thankful for and to rejoice over. I hope Easter gifts you with recovered health and so much more, every Light you could possibly need. And thank you for the mention of those wild turkeys. A few years ago, I saw a painting of them and since then, even a mention of it reminds me of the need to slow down and rest.
