And The Beat Goes On...
Our oldest dil's birthday was on the 8th. Since they live in Nevada, we don't get to celebrate it with her. I wish we could.
Monday and Tuesday of this week were quiet days. We spent time getting things prepared as another storm was being predicted for later in the week. It seems this January, the U.P. is getting more snow than it has in a number of years. There is so much that there is no place to put it all after shoveling it off roads and sidewalks. School children, I suspect, are the happiest of us all because they have been getting no school days quite often because of the weather.
Wednesday was our oldest son & dil's 20th wedding anniversary. Time goes by so quickly. Hard to believe it has been 20 years already.
The storm came in on Wednesday where we got a foot of snow w/high winds. On the good side, we didn't lose power which is what I worry about the most.
Thursday there was a lull in the weather so B and I took advantage of it by getting haircuts. Then we went out to lunch and picked up a few groceries at the local supermarket. We don't know what happened but by the time we got home, we were both "sick as dogs". The only thing we figure is that something we ate at lunch definitely did not agree with us. We are fine now but Thursday afternoon at home was not fun.
B was waiting for one of his medication to get refilled last week. The doctor said he would have to have labs done before she could give him the renewal. He did that last week and we got the report in the mail Wednesday. Yesterday, the doctor's office called and said that she was very pleased at what she saw in the report and therefore, was not going to give him the renewal for Lovastatin as she felt he didn't need it at this time. He was happy...one less pill to take.
The weather channel is predicting below zero temps for next week. Oh Joy! I so love winter in the U.P. NOT!!
