April
I didn't post much at all in March. I was very depressed especially with the weather. I usually get this way in February and March. I am so sick of winter by then that I just can't seem to function at all. B calls it my "February nutsies". I call it "the so sick of winter blues". Now with April upon us and there is still so much snow and cold in the UP, I am trying very hard to see the bright side.
My cat, Al had to be taken to the Vet. He was having so much trouble breathing. Taking deep breaths with his mouth open as well as the hard breathing you could see on his body. The Vet took xrays and it turns out Al has a lot of fluid around his heart. It is not curable and since he is 15 years old, he will be having a hard time in the future until it takes him. The Vet gave me a prescription for Lasix which he must take twice a day. It took us some time to figure out how to get the pill in him but we managed ad he seems to be doing better. We can't cure him but we can make him as comfortable as we can as long as we have him.
B and I went to get our taxes done and were very happy to get a nice refund from the federal return. We didn't get a refund from the state of Michigan but we didn't have to pay either, so win-win.
I had to go get lab tests done. It seems my Vitamin D levels as well as calcium levels were not where they should be. I will be waiting to see what this means from the doctor.
B's 80th birthday was on Good Friday, so I took him to dinner at Red Lobster. Later this month, we will take a trip to Appleton, WI which he always enjoys.
We spent a quiet Easter at home.
