March Madness-part 2

 

12 inches of ice and snow since Saturday and there is another storm predicted for Wednesday!

February Update #1

Bitter cold weather again!  I am so looking forward to Spring.

Well, I started the eye drops on Sunday the 9th to prepare for my cataract surgery on the 12th.  B is putting them in for me.  Four times a day...ugh!

My oldest son and dil called me on Tuesday the 11th because they would not be home on the 12th.  They are going to a teacher's convention in San Antonio from the 12th to the 16th.  My son told B to remember to message him as soon as I was done on the 12th with an update.

My youngest son and dil called on Wednesday afternoon to check on how everything went with the surgery.

UP200 sled dog race and Jibba Jabba, a snowboarding competition start on Valentines day which means lots of people in town as well as restaurants so B taking me out on Thursday the 13th for a Valentine's Day lunch.

It's snowing again.  We are supposed to get between 4 to 6 inches by Sunday.  I know I have said this before but it bears repeating......I WANT SPRING!


 

SPRING!!

*Opened all the windows to let in the fresh air.  My cat, Al, was having a wonderful time going from window to window enjoying them open after being closed all winter.

*Started planning landscaping ideas as well as the garden.

*Excited to see a squirrel and 2 chipmunks visit the bird feeders.

*Stood on the front deck and enjoyed seeing the green of spring return and the white of winter leave.

*Put the snowboots away...Yay!

*B got out his riding lawnmower just to clean it up and see what needed to be done to it to prepare for the coming months.

*A snowstorm came in on 3/27 and lasted until 3/28 and dumped 6 inches of wet, sloppy snow on everything.  Such is Spring in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
