Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for a number of things.

I am thankful for my youngest son and dil who got married in August.  He married a wonderful
woman and we are thrilled to have her as part of the family.

I am thankful that because of the wedding my sister and I, who haven't spoken to each other in almost 10 years (reasons very personal) have started communicating.  Since she and I are the only ones left, I am happy that we are getting to know each other once again.

I am thankful that because of the wedding we were able to spend time with my oldest son and dil which is something we only get to do maybe once or twice a year because of the cost of travel as well as the distance.

I am thankful that in this day and age of illnesses like covid, B and I have so far avoided getting sick.  We are also thankful that there is a vaccine that we can take to continue avoiding it.

I am thankful that with the economy the way it is, we have been able to keep up with our bills, put food on the table and be ready for a cold Upper Peninsula winter on our retirement and social security income.  We are also thankful that we were able to pay off our mortgage 5 years ago which also gives us peace of mind.

I am thankful for all of you whose blogs I read every day and who occasionally comment on mine.  You give me joy, sometimes laughter and insightful thoughts in the messages you post.
