There's still hope...

The news, whether it is tv, radio or print, is filled with so much that brings anxiety, depression and anger that I found myself focusing on the event in Thailand.  Here was a situation that could have ended so badly.  We got a miracle instead.  But we also got a glimmer of what is good and kind and positive about our world and that, to me, was the icing on this miraculous cake.

  1. That cave suspense turned out to be a lot of things for me. The sad death of one of the divers was like a spiritual bell going off on a home situation, warning me that time was short and that indifference was leeching out the oxygen of our spirits. Then, as the hours went by and we got more and more troubling news, I honestly had no hope of anyone coming out alive. But despite the tremendous odds, everyone emerged safely.

A powerful lesson for me - to persevere in hope, even in the darkest hour.
