October Begins

Had dinner with sister and brother in law. reconnect after 12 years. Amazing how life works.  Haven't spoken in 12 years. Sent wedding invitation which started us mailing letters back and forth.  Her H.S. reunion here so she decides to come so we can get together in person. So happy about this.

Went to a Fall Flea Market.  very disappointed in the turnout of tables.  It was held in a mall and most tables were from stores putting out their sale items. Purchased giant size Oreo cookies from new bakery.  Yummy. will definitely go back for more in the future. 

B is working on replacing ceiling tiles and ceiling lights in the basement.  This needed to be done for a long time.

Once a year we call in garage cleaning company to come in and clean out all the garbage in the garage that has accumulated. It is an expense but they are much better at loading up their truck and taking it away than we would be able to do with our car.  It also helps when we start putting away outside furniture for the season.

Made appointment with the vet to get our cat Al's annual physical and rabies shot.  Not looking forward to trying to get him in the crate but it has to be done.

Received a large refund check from the dentist as the insurance paid more than we thought.  Nice to get that.  We put it into our emergency fund bank account.

B and my youngest son (dil is out of town) took me out to dinner for my birthday last night.  Had tortellini and garlic bread with spumoni for dessert. Amazing how I feel younger than my age.  Hope I always do.
